2nd 2023 Annual Miriam Rachimi Prize
Offered by Poetica Publishing
The Miriam Rachimi Chapbook Prize is named after a young poet from New York who enjoyed writing short poems on postcards and mailing them to family and friends, often even to herself.
The award, sponsored by her family, will be offered every year in her memory.
Micro chapbooks are collections of 10 poems. Chapbooks centered around a unifying theme will be given preference. Individual poems from the manuscript may have been published previously in magazines, but the collection as a whole must be unpublished. We do not consider translations or simultaneous submissions. All entries will be read by the editors of Poetica Publishing. The prize is open to all writers of any background, affiliation, and on any experience.
Prize:
First Place: $150.00
Second Place: $100.00
Third Place: $50.00
The three winners will be ePublished on our website.
Up to five "Special Recognition," Award Certificates may be given.

How to submit:
- Use the title of your micro chapbook as your document name.
- The manuscript should contain one poem per page, for a total of exactly 10 poems.
- It should have a title page and table of contents page as well.
- Please use Time New Roman #11 point font.
- Poems should be single-spaced, with double space between stanzas.
- We cannot accept corrections after submission.
Terms:
All rights revert to the author after publication.
All entrants will be notified of the results.
